EQUALITY IN THE SECONDARY SCHOOL

"Equality in the Secondary School".
Promoting good practice across the curriculum,
edited by Mike Cole,

De él ha dicho el Professor Peter McLaren, (Graduate School of Education and Information Studies University of California, USA):

"
A timely and provocative look at the challenges for social justice educators at this precipitous moment in world history. Pre-service teachers, classroom teachers, teacher educators and education scholars and activists, both in the UK and North America, will great benefit from an engagement with this thought-provoking collection of essays from highly respected social justice educators."

Tambien
la Profesora Heidi Safia Mirza, (Institute of Education, University of London, UK):

"The first stepping stone to equality in education is the curriculum. This authoritative book tells how to achieve it subject by subject, tackling head-on the underlying great debates on equality, inclusion, citizenship, and social justice."

Se trata de: "
Drawing on a wealth of knowledge from a varied list of contributors, this volume addresses the importance of going beyond equal opportunities. The contributors provide a compelling argument for promoting equality in secondary schools. Issues covered include: social class; 'race'; gender; sexual orientation; disability and special educational needs with reference to all subjects taught at secondary school level".

.
